Update – Missing Woman Found Dead

UPDATE 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 22 - Captain Ryan Turner with the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office says Elveria Aucoin was found dead by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Authorities there are saying her cause of death was an apparent suicide.

11:31 a.m. Thursday, June 21 - The Iberia Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding a woman who was last seen Tuesday of this week.  Elveria Aucoin's family expressed concern to sheriff's deputies that Elveria may do harm to herself.  The family says Elveria left of her own accord, implying to her family that she did not wish to return home.

The woman is 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds.  She has brown eyes and brown hair.  She is possibly driving a white Ford F150.  Anyone with information on Elveria’s whereabouts should call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-369-3714.
