Courtrooms across Acadiana and the rest of Louisiana are announcing reopening plans, which also includes the rescheduling of court cases from the last few weeks during the coronavirus pandemic.

In the 16th Judicial District, Judge Suzanne deMahy's Office has released details for the rescheduling of MISDEMEANOR and TRAFFIC TICKET/SUMMONS:

  • If you have been served with 9:00 a.m. IBERIA PARISH MISDEMEANOR ARRAIGNMENT NOTICE for June 18, please call 337-394-2216 extension 2611 and speak with Patti to reschedule or with any questions. If you received a notice to appear at a different time, please do not show up more than 15 minutes prior to your scheduled time.
  • If you have received a TRAFFIC TICKET/SUMMONS for 9:00 a.m. IBERIA PARISH TRAFFIC COURT for June 18, you need to appear at the courthouse and go to the Criminal Department of the Clerk's Office (1st Floor) between 9 a.m. 1 12 p.m. on June 8 for further instructions.
