This isn't good, for some.

The 2021 annual Grammy Awards Show did not do well in the television ratings and now many on social media have their own theory as to why the show hit an all-time low.

According to Variety, the show, which aired on CBS, had 8.8 million viewers for the network on Sunday night. In its key demographic, the show had a 2.1 rating with adults ages 18-49.

And while the show may not have done great in the Nielsen ratings, it still was the most-watched television program on Sunday night.

Now, let's look at the streaming numbers for the biggest night in the music industry. Variety reports that this year's show was the most-streamed Grammy show ever with 83% more live streams compared to 2020.

So were people into the show? Yes. Did folks consume the product differently? Yes. Still, many are noting that the show was too graphic at times for primetime television.
