As of 6pm today, the Louisiana Department of Health is reporting a total of 537 confirmed cases of the coronavirus COVID-19 in the state. An additional 4 deaths today raises the total deaths in Louisiana associated with the coronavirus to 14.

There are a total of 6 confirmed cases of the coronavirus in Lafayette Parish, 2 in Iberia Parish, and 2 in St. Landry Parish. 28 of Louisiana's 64 parishes are now reporting cases of the caronavirus. For a map and more information, visit the LDH website.

In Lafayette Mayor-President Josh Guillory's press briefing today, he discouraged all non-medical business that requires people to be within 6 feet of one another: nail, hair, spa and tattoo salons and the like. Guillory also revealed that he made a request to Governor Edwards for assistance from the Louisiana National Guard for logistic support.
