A Youngsville Man Arrested For Making Funny Money
Duson Police Chief Kip Judice says they have arrested a man for allegedly using counterfeit money at two business establishments in their city.
The Youngsville man was stopped by police during a routine traffic stop.
Officers say that they ended up finding a printer, a counterfeit $100 bill, some solvent and what police say are other tools related to making a counterfeit bill.
The 29-year-old man was booked into the Acadia Parish Jail for violating the monetary instrument abuse law.
He faces a prison sentence of 6 months to possibly 10 years behind bars.
Young can also be fined, and he may have to pay restitution.
