ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — A 39-year-old Alexandria man has been arrested in connection with two church burglaries.

The Town Talk reports Steven Langley was arrested by the Rapides Parish sheriff's deputies and book with two counts of burglary of a religious building.

The investigation began on May 23 with the burglary report from a Tioga-area church. Then, on May 25, another burglary report was received from a Deville-area church. Both churches reported musical instruments and equipment stolen.

Detectives learned some of the items had been pawned locally. A news release says that led detectives to Langley, and also the recovery of more of the stolen items.

It could not be determined whether Langley has an attorney.
