Louisiana's Ragin' Cajun men's basketball team dropped their first game of the 2013-2014 college basketball season on Friday night, falling to the Arkansas Razorbacks, 76-63, in Fayetteville, Arkansas.

Arkansas led at the half, 39-38, and then went on to the 13-point victory.

The game was a lot closer than the final score would indicate, as it was tied eight different times, and featured seven lead changes.

The Razorbacks out-shot the Cajuns from the field, 51%-40%, which proved to be the difference in the game, as rebounds finished even, at 30-30.

Alandise Harris led the way fro Arkansas, scoring a team-high 19 points, while Michael Qualls scored 16, along with eight rebounds and five assists, both team highs.

In a losing cause for Louisiana, Elfrid Payton scored a game-high 27 points, while Shawn Long and Elridge Moore chipped-in with 12, and 10 points, respectively.

With the victory, Arkansas improved to 2-0, while Louisiana fell to 2-1.

The Cajuns travel to Waco, Texas on Sunday, for a non-conference match-up with the Baylor Bears.
