Arkansas Gets Its First Axe-Throwing Bar
Arkansas now has it's very first axe throwing club, and I am jealous. The Shreveport / Bossier City area totally needs one of these! Urban Forest Axe House is now open in Bentonville, and while that is a pretty hefty drive - that sounds like an awesome time!
It's like darts and bowling had a baby, and anyone can do it. The room is divided into lanes, and each lane ends with a gigantic wooden target. You can drop $26 per person on a 75 minute session, or rent the entire lane for a couple of hours for $300. The facility provides you with the axes (you can't bring your own from home). You can bring snacks and drinks from home - that includes beer and wine!
A word of caution if you are planning to imbibe a bit of the loudmouth stew and chunk bladed implements at the wall - you will be watched. No hard liquor is allowed, and if you seem inebriated - you will not be allowed to participate. Urban Forest Axe House reserve the right to kick anyone out they deem unsafe. Safety is kind of a big deal when folks are hurling Paul Bunyan's toothpicks around.
You must be at least 13 years old to participate, and if you are under 18 you have to be accompanied by an adult. Find out more by checking out the frequently axed questions section of their website.
