In a motion filed on Monday, Thomas Guilbeau wants district Judge Edward Rubin to re-evaluate a gag order put into place in 2013.

In February of last year, Seth Fontenot was indicted on one count of first degree murder and two counts of attempted first degree murder in the shooting death of 15-year-old Austin Rivault and in the injuring of two other teenagers. According to friends close to the family, they were dropping off a friend at his home in the Green Meadow Drive area. According to his arrest affidavit, Fontenot was trying to scare the teens.

While KPEL News was not able to talk directly with Guilbeau because of the gag order, we were able to find out that he's asking for clarification because the judge in the civil case against Fontenot and his parents wants it done. According to theadvertiser.com, Rivault's parents filed the $50,000 civil suit earlier this year, claiming his parents were negligent in giving him the pistol and didn't give him proper training and supervision.
