Looking back at auto sales in Louisiana for 2010, Bob Israel with the Louisiana Automobile Dealers Association says for a year that started out slow, car sales did rebound mid-year. He says the when the nation suffers economically, Louisiana does too which impacts auto sales. Israel says he thinks 2011 will be better than 2010 in Louisiana auto sales but the recovery will continue slow and steadily. Israel says that low interest rates are helping auto sales and he says potential car buyers who have less than perfect credit are being approved for financing. Israel says demand for new vehciles is high and dealers are struggling with inventory.
