The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries has cited an Evangeline Parish man for capturing alligators out of season. LDWF officials say they got an anonymous tip from the Department's tipline that John Sonnier of Basille was holding the alligators in a container near his home. Investigators found four alligators in the container, and Sonnier admitted to capturing them. The alligators were released into the wild. Sonnier faces a fine of up to $950.
