Congressman Charles Boustany introduced a bill a couple of days ago that would dock the pay of Congressmen who miss votes.  Boustany lays it out simply, by saying,

Under my bill, a Member missing a single vote would not receive pay for that entire day.

He says that this would keep members from running out early or coming in late because of campaign events.  He summed up the bill by saying,

Serving as a Member of Congress is not a part-time job.

What do you think?  Is this bill a good idea or a bad idea?  Vote in our poll below and let's have a conversation about it.
