A Roman Catholic school in St. Bernard Parish plans to expand its campus with 4 million dollars in federal hurricane aid. FEMA says it is giving the money to the Our Lady of Prompt Succor School eve though the money covers damages to another Catholic school flooded during Hurricane Katrina. FEMA sometimes allows money for one damaged structure to be used at another site. The Archdiocese of New Orleans plans to build a new 12,600-square-foot school building. So far, FEMA has allocated 341 million dollars in public assistance funding to the Archdiocese of New Orleans for Katrina damage.
