Charges have been upgraded against an Abbeville man who was allegedly drunk behind the wheel when he slammed into another car head on earlier this month. State Police Spokesperson Stephen Hammonds says 23-year-old Emily Landry was the driver of the other vehicle that 51-year-old Gregory Menard hit. Menard now faces 2 counts of vehicular homicide. The passenger in Menard's vehicle, his older brother, also died when he was ejected from the vehicle. Hammonds says this is also Menard's fourth offense DWI charge. Hammonds says it's important for all drivers to make a responsible decision everytime they get into a vehicle.
