A local prep football standout has committed to play his college football for a state school.

Cleveland (Tre') Harris, a quarterback from Comeaux High School, issued a verbal pledge to Louisiana Tech recently.

The 6-foot-4, 192-pound Harris, who is scheduled to graduate in 2020, is also a starting guard for the Spartan basketball team.

Harris, who also projects at other multiple positions, was also reportedly received offered by such schools as Louisiana, Nicholls St., McNeese, Northwestern St., ULM, and South Alabama.
