Commentator Stirs Controversy With Lee Circle Plan

Wingin' It Wednesday Panelist Warren Caudle ruffled some feathers when he talked about a monument that would represent the 'real' New Orleans. Caudle has long lamented Mayor Mitch Landrieu for seemingly prioritizing the removal of Confederate monuments over the growing crime problem in the city.

It should be noted that Caudle was not completely against the removal of the monuments, but his views are very different from most protesters. In a previews edition of Wingin' It Wednesday, he said it should be because the Conferacy lost in the Civil War.

The comments on Lee Circle were made as part of a segment on Acadiana's Morning News on NewsTalk 96.5 KPEL in Lafayette, Louisiana.
