Cool Your Car Quickly During The ‘Dog Days’
Summer vacation season is winding down, but summer In South Louisiana is far from over. August in the Bayou State is torrid. Afternoon high temperatures in the 90's can raise the temperature inside your car to well above 100 degrees. If you're in and out of your car all day, this can be miserable. Change the way you think about cooling your car. You're moving the heat out. No matter how hot it is outside, it's hotter inside your car.
If your key fob has a button that rolls your windows down, hit it as soon as you walk out the front door. If not, roll them down when you get in. Start the car & turn the A/C up full blast, then start driving. Roll your windows up slowly, one by one, driver's window last. Leave it cracked 1-1/2 to 2 inches 'til you feel cool air on the back of your neck. You'll be surprised how quickly the temperature inside the car drops.
