Is It Coronavirus, The Flu, Or Just Allergies? Here’s How You Can Tell The Difference
You can't log on to social media without seeing the word 'coronavirus.'
Some people are freaking out, others are rolling their eyes—and somewhere in between those two extremes, there are many people who are genuinely wondering how they would even know if they had the coronavirus and what the symptoms would look like.
Given the time of the year where some people are still getting sick with the flu or affected most by allergies due to changes in the season, our friends at KHOU posted this very simple guide to help you decipher between the symptoms affiliated with the coronavirus and the aforementioned.
Over the weekend we saw a heightened sense of alertness when it comes to the new coronavirus as the number of cases in the U.S. crossed 500 and deaths rose to 22 including 2 in Florida that were the first to be confirmed on the east coast.
As of this weekend, there have been no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana.
As far as what we should do to avoid this virus, it's simple: Wash your hands for at least 20 seconds and stop touching your face. Authorities are also asking for us to "avoid crowded places, avoiding non-essential travel such as long plane trips, and especially avoiding embarking on cruise ships."
In addition to these simple guidelines, it's important to remember "facts over fear" when it comes to the coronavirus and just follow information from experts and local authorities.
