Crash In Pineville Claims A Woman’s Life

PINEVILLE, La. (AP) — A 23-year-old Pineville woman died after she was hit by a vehicle while trying to cross La. Highway 28 East.

Pineville police tell The Town Talk (http://townta.lk/UW04e7 ) the accident happened around 5:37 p.m. Saturday.

Police say Asala Nidal Suleiman was hit by a vehicle driven by 71-year-old Donald Laborde, also of Pineville.

Suleiman was taken to a local hospital, but was pronounced dead.

The accident remains under investigation.
