Would you like to know exactly where your crawfish and/or shrimp came from before chowing down? This bill would do just that for you.

The Governor has had quite a busy week, and now he'll have to deal with a new bill aimed to inform consumers on where exactly their shrimp and crawfish came from. Lerose representative, Truck Gisclair, has proposed the bill which, if passed, would force restaurants to tell customers whether their seafood was imported or not.

Personally, I don't care if my crawfish came from Keithville or Russia, as long as it tastes just right.

It is, of course, much more than just a taste thing. The representative feels as though eating imported crawfish or shrimp could be a health hazard, and those ordering the food deserve to know where it came from.

This isn't much of a stretch, considering seafood's origin is already required at grocery stores.
