The 27th Annual Creole Festival is happening November 1 - 3, 2019, at the Holy Ghost Catholic Church in Opelousas.

The Creole Festival is the church's annual fair, featuring many cultural and culinary traditions of the Creole culture in the form of zydeco music and food.

Touted at the world's largest Creole festival, this year's event will start off with a fried fish dinner beginning at 10 am on Friday, November 1st. The festival grounds will open at 4 PM and, at 7 PM, music begins (Gospel Night).

Saturday starts with a 5K run/1 mile fun walk, and the festival grounds open at 10 AM.

On Saturday and Sunday, the Creole Festival will be selling their famous Backbone Stew, along with BBQ chicken and BBQ pork steak.  The dinners will be sold both days beginning at 10:00 AM. Dinner Tickets may be purchased at the Church Parish Office until Friday, November 1st or you may purchase tickets on grounds. Pies, Boudin, Cracklins, and other foods will be sold on all days of the Festival!
