Damaged Truck Sought In Ascension Hit-And-Run

PORT VINCENT, La. (AP) — State police are looking for a damaged Toyota truck or sport utility vehicle that hit and critically injured a Prairieville woman in northeastern Ascension Parish.

State police said 22-year-old Tommie Hadley was struck by the westbound vehicle about 11:30 p.m. Monday while she walked along Louisiana Highway 42, according to The Advocate newspaper.

Hadley was hospitalized at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center in Baton Rouge, troopers said.

The silver-colored vehicle is believed to be either a Toyota 4-Runner SUV or a Toyota Tacoma Pre-Runner pickup.

The suspected vehicle has noticeable damage to its right front corner and right side.
