David Schwimmer posted a hilarious response to a man who was caught on camera shoplifting in a restaurant. The man in question is wanted by Blackpool police, but Schwimmer wanted to make it clear that he was in New York at the time, not in the UK.

The actor, after recreating the theft, signed off the tweet with the hashtag "It wasn't me", and wished officers in Blackpool the best of luck with their investigation.

Well, according to a Tweet from the Blackpool Police, they have identified the person in question and they have thanked all on social media for their assistance in the investigation.

And yes, they have cleared the former "Friends" actor of any wrongdoing. Still, what a response by Schwimmer.
