DOTD Secretary Tested Positive For Covid-19

According to KATC, one of the two cases of Covid-19 that were confirmed in Lafayette Parish on Wednesday is Shawn Wilson, the Secretary for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development.

Wilson has been in self-quarantine since Sunday, March 15. He was tested for the flu when he began feeling bad and the flu test was negative. He found out on Wednesday that he tested positive for Covid-19.

Wilson says he has not been around Governor John Bel Edwards since he has shown symptoms eight days ago.
