As part of the Eat Lafayette campaign, I had a chance to partake a meal at iMonelli.  The food there is prepared with a lot of care and it's obvious that each item is well thought out and well balanced.

Brian Blanchard, owner and chef at iMonelli, put together a sampling of great flavors for us that included a variety of what is on their menu.  The evening started with a Crab Cake that was delicate and delicious.  It continued with an appetizer that was a Seafood Crepe.  It was a great blend of flavors that was evident that local elements were used.  We then had Beef Tenderloin with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and a Cognac Creme Sauce.  Then we sampled a Penne Pasta with Crawfish and an Alfredo Sauce that was outstanding.  No meal is complete without dessert and we enjoyed different items.  Mine was a Cheesecake that was out of this world.

This is a restaurant that is designed for the dining experience.  The setting is intimate, the wait staff is attentive and friendly and everyone went out of their way to be helpful.  It was a pleasure being there for the Eat Lafayette campaign and I hope that you will stop in and enjoy.
