It seems as though Eli Apple is pretty happy about joining the New Orleans Saints.

After a stellar collegiate career at Ohio St., the Giants selected Apple with the 10th-overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft.

After a rookie campaign in which saw him accumulate 49 tackles and one interception, Aplle was suspended by the Giants  last year, after a confrontation with an assistant coach and after teammate Landon Collins called him a cancer in a radio interview.

The 6-foot-1, 202-pound Apple, who should prove to be a nice complement to Marshon Lattimore in the Saints' defensive backfield, still finished last season with 49 combined tackles 8 passes defended.

Through five games in 2018, Apple has compiled 22 tackles, to go along with 5 passes defended.

Apple will make his Saints debut on Sunday night, when New Orleans hits the road to face the Minnesota Vikings.
