Erin Ryan, Communications Director for the LITE Center visited 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' today to discuss the upcoming Innov8 event and took the opportunity to invite listeners to tour the LITE (Louisiana Immersive Technologies Enterprise) Center.

According to Ryan,

Our 'Eye Opener' for Innov8 is the perfect time to visit the LITE Center because instead of a quick 30 minute tour you get the full LITE Center experience.  The 'Eye Opener' takes place Saturday, April 20, 2013 and you get to see all the 'behind the scenes' working of the LITE Center.

We asked Ryan to describe what a person could expect to experience at the 'Eye Opener' and she said,

All of our venues will be open so you'll be able to get inside the 'egg' our six-side virtual reality space and see what it's like inside a molecule or see what it's like to drive an underwater ROV near an oil rig.  We're also going to have a video game we've just created where your opponent is music.

Ryan said Pixel Magic will have a special treat for 'Eye Opener' visitors,

Pixel Magic will be doing their 'behind the scenes of Hollywood movies' event...Pixel Magic roto-scoped the entire Harry Potter movie to translate it to 3-D right here in Lafayette.

Ryan said,

Innov8 is a chance for local film makers, local businesses, the Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lafayette, the LITE Center, everybody who's true passion is Lafayette to put it all out on the table.

To participate and to get more information you can visit Innov8's website.
