Former Nurse To Be Sentenced For Sexual Battery
ALEXANDRIA, La. (AP) — A former Rapides Regional Medical Center nurse who was found guilty last month in the sexual battery of a sleeping patient will be sentenced Friday in state court in Alexandria.
The Town Talk reports (http://townta.lk/KwxnQv ) Phillip Wayne Raines of Deville faces up to 10 years in prison without parole.
Judge Thomas Yeager said at Raines' trial that he would consider Raines' military record in deciding a sentence.
A jury of six deliberated for less than an hour on April 19 before finding Raines guilty.
