Girl Killed; Suspect Back In LA

LAPLACE — A man suspected of killing a 15-year-old LaPlace girl has been returned from Mississippi to face a first-degree murder charge. Earnest Joseph III, 27, of LaPlace, was arrested Wednesday in Gulfport, Miss., with the help of federal marshals, authorities said. He waived extradition and was booked Friday into the St. John the Baptist Parish jail without bond.
