PORT SULPHUR, La. (AP) — This could be a gloomy Christmas for many people along the Gulf Coast in the aftermath of the big BP oil spill.

It's been more than five months since the deep-sea well was finally capped after spewing millions of gallons of crude into the Gulf. For those who were just getting by before the spill, life has gotten even more difficult.

Some can't find work, the bills are piling up, and they can't afford Christmas gifts for the kids.

Jennifer Reddick, a mother of six in Louisiana, says she is trying to keep it together for her children this sad Christmas.

"I don't want them to see me cry," she says.
