Guilty Plea Entered In Child Porn Case

Today 22 year old Christopher Nixon of Quitman, LA pleaded guilty to producing child pornography. He entered a conditional guilty plea before US Judge Karen Hayes on one count of production of child pornography. The plea will be final when accepted by US District Court Judge Robert James. Evidence was presented that between February 1, 2012 and March 30, 2012 Nixon produced child pornography with a boy under the age of 18. The video was discovered by Canadian law enforcement during an unrelated investigation in May of 2013.

Nixon faces 15 to 30 years in prison, up to life of supervised release and a fine of $250,000. Sentencing has been set for January 5, 2015.
