Three sailors have been taken hostage after gunmen stormed a ship owned by a Louisiana company. It happened last night near Chevron's Agbami oil field, operated by its Nigerian subsidiary about 70 nautical miles offshore. Chevron spokesman Kurt Glaubitz says the ship belonged to Edison Chouest Offshore, which is based in Galliano in Lafourche Parish, and supplies the oil field. Glaubitz said eight gunmen boarded the MV C-Endeavour, attacking the crew and taking the three workers hostage. The attack raises concerns over the possible unraveling of an amnesty deal in the crude-rich nation.
