Head-On Crash On Highway 182 Takes Two Lives

State Police report that a two car crash on Highway 182 east of Highway 88 last night claimed the lives of two people.

Louisiana State Police Troop I Spokesman Stephen Hammons says just before 8 o'clock last evening, 53-year-old Creig Broussard of St Martinville was driving his truck on the westbound side of Highway 182 when another truck driven by 36-year-old Brian Stockstill of New Iberia was driving on the eastbound side of the road.

For reasons still being investigated, Broussard's truck crossed the center line and hit Stockstill's truck head-on.  Both Broussard and Stockstill, who were buckled up, were pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

State Police say routine toxicology samples were taken for testing.
