Victim Identified as Hit-and-Run Accident Results in Pedestrian Fatality in Acadia Parish

A fatal hit-and-run accident on Louisiana Highway 90 near Ebenezer Road claimed the life of a 41-year-old Rayne resident, Ryan Trahan, in the early hours of Sunday morning (7/14).

Louisiana State Police Troop I reported that the crash occurred shortly before 6:00 a.m. when Trahan was walking east in the westbound lane of Highway 90, wearing a black t-shirt and blue jeans. An unknown vehicle traveling west struck Trahan and fled the scene without stopping.

Trahan sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
