Hit And Run Driver Kills Port Allen Woman

PORT ALLEN, La. (AP) — State police say a 48-year-old Port Allen woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver.

The accident happened early Saturday morning on La. Highway 76 in West Baton Rouge Parish.

Troopers say Denisce M. McCurley was hit from behind by a vehicle while she was walking partially on the pavement.

Trooper First Class Jared L. Sandifer says investigators have determined that the vehicle involved in the incident is possibly a Ford E-150 or E-250 Van or box type vehicle with front-end damage, possibly in the headlight area.
