Man Dead After Crash In Iberia Parish

A man was found dead in an overturned vehicle in a canal near an Iberia Parish railroad on Saturday.

The crash occurred just before midnight Saturday night on S. Lewis St. and Ernest Crochet Rd. The man in the vehicle, also believed to be the driver, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Iberia Parish Coroner's Office. The cause of the crash remains undetermined at this time, and the man's name will not be released until next of kin have been notified.
