If you filed for an extension of this year's April 18th federal tax deadline, and have been affected by the floods, here's a little good news. Your extension has been extended. The Associated Press reports, the IRS has extended the deadline for Louisiana flood victims to January 17th, 2017. The extension also applies to business owners who file quarterly tax estimates. The next deadline was to be September 15th. That has been pushed back as well. Go to the IRS website for more details.
