Rob Perillo sent a Tweet today showing confidence that a current tropical cyclone will break a record.

If Potential Tropical Cyclone 9 becomes Tropical Storm Isaias today, it will shatter the old record by 10 days! According to
@philklotzbach, the old record is currently held by Tropical Storm Irene, which was named on August 7, 2005. The National Hurricane Center is, of course, keeping a close eye on what is soon-to-be Isaias, and here is their latest prediction:

Meteorologists are predicting that Isaias will form within the next 24 hours.

I, for one, am hoping for the "cone of uncertainty" to keep it far away from civilization.
