5. Beaumont, Texas
Beaumont is a dangerous city. They have a very high rate of violent and property crimes. The odds of you being robbed, assaulted, murdered, or raped are about one in seventeen.
4. Houston, Texas
H-Town is the largest metro area in Texas. Just like in Beaumont, you have a one in seventeen chance of being involved in a violent or property crime.
3. Lubbock, Texas
Lubbock isn't even close to being one of the larger cities in Texas, however, it's crime rate is even higher than those of larger cities. Your chances of experiencing a violent or property crime are one in sixteen.
2. San Antonio, Texas
If you think it's bad to live in Lubbock, that city hasn't got anything when compared to San Antonio. The odds of being involved in a violent crime or property crime in San Antonio are one in fifteen.

Dallas has some of the worst neighborhoods in Texas:
- South Dallas - crime rates is 135% higher than the national average
- Convention Center District - crime rates are 299% higher than the national average
- Cedar Crest - violent crime is 302% higher than the national average
- South Boulevard Park Row - violent crime is 658% higher than the national average
