What Are the Best Indoor Tourist Attractions in Louisiana?

SHREVEPORT, LA - It's tough to be outside in Louisiana for any length of time right now. This heat is stifling. It's miserable. I don't even like walking from my car to the grocery store or to my work in the morning. Once you hit that heat and humidity, you can feel it. We are all looking for ways to beat the heat.

Louisiana has so many great tourist attractions. But many of them have an outside component with gardens or historic districts. So I put together a list of some of my favorite indoor spots to get you out of the heat. But you will also get a lot of the flavor of Louisiana without melting.

This list does not include any of the beautiful plantation museums because all of them have an outdoor component that you should visit if you like to tour historic spots. Many of the spots on my list are in New Orleans. But Shreveport also has several great attractions on the list. If you haven't checked out these spots and want to get a little history or a getaway, you might wanna try out some of these spots.
