(Baton Rouge, Louisiana) - By now, you may have heard that LSU has fired its football coach, Brian Kelly, and he met with the team Sunday evening to announce his departure from the university.

While you never like to hear anyone losing a job, Kelly reportedly will walk away from LSU with a $53 million buyout. Reports say that when Kelly met with his LSU football players on Sunday evening, he was not in the building for long, but did tell his former players that he loved them, and told them to "Finish the season.'

LSU is coming off an embarrassing loss to Texas A&M, and when Kelly was called in on Sunday to address staff changes, he reportedly defended his staff, and that is when things went downhill between LSU and Kelly.

Here's a video of Brian Kelly arriving at the LSU Football Ops building to address the team. Check out the final key swipe by Kelly as he entered the building for the final time.

After talking to the LSU team for just a few minutes, Brian Kelly was seen exiting the building and getting into his car as he drove away from LSU for the final time.

Imagine driving away from your former place of employment, with millions of dollars still to come. I highly doubt Kelly was in a bad mood when he left, after all, he knew what is soon to be deposited in his account.

After meeting with their former coach, several players were seen leaving the building on Sunday evening. LSU has announced that Frank Wilson will be the interim coach for the remaining portion of the 2025 football season.

Since Sunday evening, Brian Kelly has returned to LSU Football Ops, and WBRZ posted video of the former coach removing boxes from his office. Officially, this may be the last time we see him drive away from LSU, unless he returns to retrieve something he forgot.
