Louisiana's Food and Family-Friendly Fun Snag Top Ten Spot

Being from Louisiana, or just spending a long amount of time here, you will know that our state is well-known for our amazing cuisine. In addition to knowing that fact, we also understand how different sectors of our state offer cuisine that is particular to the region, but also known across the state.

Louisiana is a place for foodies. There are countless festivals held each year featuring everything from crawfish to strawberries. If there is a food to consume then there likely is a celebration set aside for the type or category of food in the form of a festival.

When Florida Rentals decided to explore the country to find the most family-friendly vacation states, there were many areas in which Louisiana excelled. As they have stated,

The state's unique blend of French, Spanish, and Creole influences, showcased through its music, food, and festival, creates a rich cultural tapestry that families can explore together.

When looking at seven different criteria, Louisiana ranked number ten on their list of family-friendly vacation destinations. We received high rankings for affordability along with having a great food and festival atmosphere. Here are the criteria they based their decision on:

Officials looking at the data gave full weight to most of the categories. The two categories that were given half weight were Miles of Beaches and Amusement Parks as not all states have a coastline and several places have no amusement parks.

The Lafayette Travel website features a comprehensive list of everything going on in Acadiana. Other regions across the state have the same type of websites offering any family wishing to vacation in Louisiana an easy way to plan their trip.
