Shocking Photo Shows Water Seen Raining Down From Prairie Ronde Water Tower

A photo on social media shows water raining down from a water tower in south Louisiana.

The photo was taken in Prairie Ronde, not far from Opelousas,  on Thursday night as storms swept across parts of Acadiana.

We don't know what may have caused this leak, but some were asking if the water tower was hit by lightning.

The photo below shows the massive leak and according to some commenting on social media, the issue/leak was contained.

However, I ask, was it contained or did the tower simply run low on water?
