(Lafayette, Louisiana) - A Zeus restaurant is closing its doors after 25 years of business in Lafayette.

Owners and management of the Zeus location on Pinhook Road in Lafayette announced on social media that the restaurant will soon be closing. Many were left shocked by this announcement, but they do invite you in for one last meal.

According to Yaser Balbeisi's post, the property's owners may have new plans for the address, but the popular restaurant will no longer be there.

The social media post also said:

"We’d love to see all of our old friends and hear your favorite memories about where Zeus got its start! We will officially be closed by Thanksgiving, November 27."

While this location may no longer exist after the end of the month, there are several other Zeus locations throughout Acadiana, and Balbeisii invites its loyal customers to visit them in places like Crowley.

If any new location opens in the near future, we will share that information here and on this station's mobile app. We congratulate the business on its 25 years in Lafayette and on serving thousands of people over the years.

LOOK: Things from the year you were born that don't exist anymore

The iconic (and at times silly) toys, technologies, and electronics have been usurped since their grand entrance, either by advances in technology or breakthroughs in common sense. See how many things on this list trigger childhood memories—and which ones were here and gone so fast you missed them entirely.
