In the final knockout round episode of the season, he competed against singer Kirbi, also on Team Niall, for a chance to move on in the competition.
The Performance: ‘She Talks to Angels’ on The Voice
Our Cajun buddy chose "She Talks to Angels" by The Black Crowes for his performance, and it went a little something like this...
Yeah, he brought it! What a great performance.
Challenges: Illness and Rehearsal Disruption
However, an illness kept Dustin out of rehearsals, leaving him at a disadvantage to his challenger.
Outcome: Team Niall Decision and What’s Next
Kirbi, a country singer, performed "Hard Fought Hallelujah" by Brandon Lake and Jelly Roll. Coach Niall Horan ended up selecting her to continue on his team, saying this was her "best performance to date."

"I have to go with what I've seen in the room in the knockout, and I think the winner is Kirbi," he said. "She absolutely deserves to be in my top four."
And with that, Dustin Dale Gaspard's run on "The Voice" came to an end. However, he took it all in stride as he hosted a Facebook Live during the show's airing.
Acadiana showed the love for this "bilingual, blues, roots, folk, singer-songwriter" from Vermilion Parish who represented our area with pride, class, and charisma.
Moving on from the Blind Auditions and through a Battle Round of such a presitgious national TV show is nothing to sneeze at.
What’s Next for Dustin Gaspard
There is no doubt we will be hearing more from Dustin moving forward. He posted on Facebook recently that he wants to play "every single festival in South Louisiana" next year.
