Two New (and Indoor) Lafayette Area Businesses Announce Grand Opening Dates

Two new businesses in the Lafayette, Louisiana area have announced grand opening dates and both are coming up in the next few days.

We previously reported about a new axe-throwing place that was coming to Youngsville and we now know its opening date.

Rogue Hatchets, located at 2018 Chemin Metairie Pkwy Suite C, will be having a grand opening celebration on Friday, August 23, 2024.

What can we expect from Rogue Hatchets?

Rogue Hatchets will feature seven axe-throwing lanes along with three designated dart-throwing lanes. Additionally, the venue will include a lounge area with multiple TVs.

One of the unique aspects of the new business will be its BYOB policy.

Rogue Hatchets will have the following hours of operation once open:

• Tuesday - Wednesday: Noon - 10:00 pm
• Thursday - Saturday: Noon - Midnight

The other business opening soon is The Play Place, which will be located at 730A Albertson Parkway in Broussard, Louisiana.

The owners took to social media to announce a soft opening will begin this weekend. That will take place Saturday, August 17th from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Sunday, August 18th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

The Grand Opening will take place on Labor Day, which is Monday, September 2nd. The hours that day will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

What does The Play Place offer?

The Play Place includes indoor play areas that feature a variety of interactive activities for children to enjoy including slides, ball pits, climbing structures, and areas for imaginative play.

As you can probably guess, The Play Place is perfect for birthday parties and they will offer party packages.

While little other information is known about this new indoor play space, the owners have said they are still working on the final touches and will post pictures soon.
