
Louisiana’s John Foster Makes Top 3 of American Idol, Hometown Parade & Concert Scheduled for Wednesday
WEST BATON ROUGE PARISH, La. (KMDL-FM) - He did it again. Louisiana native John Foster advanced from the Top 5 to the Top 3 of American Idol last night.
Foster will now compete in the show's finale, which will air this Sunday, May 18. He'll be joined by Jamal Roberts and Breanna Nix.
How John Foster Made it to the Finals of American Idol
On Monday, May 12th's episode, the contestants continued Disney night. Each of the top 5 contestants performed twice -- one Disney-themed Heroes and one Villains-themed track -- for America's vote.
Foster first performed "The Bare Necessities" from The Jungle Book and then "Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie.
America clearly loved his performances, as he moved into the finals.

John Foster Hometown Parade and Concert Set for Wednesday, May 14 in Addis, Louisiana
The next few days will be a whirlwind for Foster as officials in West Baton Rouge Parish have announced that a parade and concert will take place on Wednesday, May 14, for his hometown return.
The parade will begin at 5:00 p.m. and run along First Street in Addis. Following the parade, the concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Bayou Plaquemine Waterfront Park, located at 57845 Foundry Street.

Gates for the concert will open at 6:30 pm.
City officials even announced that boats are welcome to join the celebration from Bayou Plaquemine.
We wish John Foster all the best in the finals of American Idol. He surely has made Louisiana proud and no matter what happens, many think he has a shot to make noise in the country music genre.

If Foster went all the way and won it all, he would be the second Louisianian to win American Idol in the show's 23 seasons.
In 2019, Livingston native Laine Hardy won Season 17 of the show.
