Early Morning Shooting on Daytona Avenue Under Investigation

Law enforcement authorities are actively investigating a violent shooting that took place early Saturday morning on Daytona Avenue. According to the East Baton Rouge Sheriff’s Office (EBRSO), multiple gunmen opened fire on a residential home in the neighborhood.

The sheriff’s office reports that the incident occurred at approximately 4:00 a.m. when six individuals exited a dark-colored vehicle and fired several shots into a house. Deputies responding to the scene confirmed that the suspects discharged firearms multiple times.

According to WBRZ.com "Deputies said a male inside the residence sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the shooting."
