New Whataburger in Opelousas, Louisiana to Open on Mon, Aug. 26

The wait is nearly over as the new Whataburger in Opelousas, Louisiana is set to have its grand opening on Monday, August 26, 2024.

The restaurant is located right off the interstate at 6401 I-49 South Service Road.

This will be the first Whataburger to open in the St. Landry Parish city. The restaurant will have a very hometown feel as there is a custom interior mural featuring Opelousas splashed across the wall.

According to a press release, the restaurant "pays respect to Whataburger's storied history while looking to the future with a forward-thinking design. Features include digital menu boards, a modern kitchen, and a spacious dining room to serve guests best."

Freebies at the Grand Opening of the new Whataburger in Opelousas

The grand opening will take place at 11:00 am on Monday, August 26.

The first customers in line for the dining room and drive-thru will each get a gift basket of free Whataburger for a year.

Goody bags will go to the next 100 guests.

Surprisingly, this new Whataburger restaurant only marks the fifth location in the Acadiana area.
