Police Cam Shows Car Launching Off Tow Truck Ramp Before Crashing

Viral video from a police body cam captured an insane traffic crash that looks like a scene straight out of the "Dukes of Hazzard."

The wild video is going viral after Channel 2 Action News got hold of some footage from the Lowndes County Sheriff's Office, and it's something you gotta see to believe.

Deputies were dealing with a traffic situation on Ga. 38/U.S. 84, routine work, when out of nowhere, this car comes zooming out of nowhere like it's in a NASCAR race. It's almost as if the driver of this out-of-control vehicle never even bothered to tap the brakes.

In less than the blink of an eye, the car goes straight Evel Knievel and launches itself off the back of a tow truck's flatbed.

But wait, it gets crazier. One of the deputies springs into action like a superhero and rushes to help the driver. Thankfully, the driver survived, but they ended up in the hospital with some serious injuries due to debris that came flying off the vehicle as it was in midair.

According to the Georgia State Patrol report, that car went flying, traveling nearly 120 feet over the tow truck before crashing into another car. And it didn't stop there as the vehicle kept going for another 23 feet after impact.

The crash caused a bit of chaos. As I mentioned earlier, one of the deputies got hit by some debris flying around and had to go to the hospital but they were later released in good condition. Thankfully, no one else got hurt.

The Georgia State Patrol is using this crazy incident to remind everyone about the importance of Georgia's Move Over Law.

As for the 21-year-old driver who pulled off this insane stunt, it's unclear what charges she'll be facing once she recovers from her injuries. But one thing's for sure, this is a story that won't be forgotten by anyone who was involved anytime soon.
